Grade Level: Sixth

Objective: Given a class research project, the student will locate information using an index with teacher assistance.

Academic Expectations: 1.16, 3.3, 3.4, 3.7, 5.4, 5.5, 6.2

Resources: Web sites: www.yahooligans.com, www.studyweb.com, Inspiration software (concept webbing software)

Sample Activity: 

The teacher will review with the class the process of developing keywords for an Internet search and how to use an index to locate information. With teacher assistance, the students will locate needed information by using an index. (Ex. Animals, birds, parrots)
