Skill T5.7.2.2: Create graphs and charts
Grade Level: Fourth
Objective: Students will create a graph/chart, the student will given verbal prompts to guide the teacher through each step in the process.
Academic Expectations: 1.10, 1.16
Resources: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
Sample Activity:
Students will be given a bag of M&M’s. Students will be told to graph the data they find in the bag. They will graph color and number. Students will be prompted to make a pie chart about their bag of M&M’s.
Students upon returning to class will then take a bag of Skittles and graph them. Students will then enter this data on their spreadsheet. They will create a graph comparing these two candies.
