Objective: The student will be able to open and close an application by using a shortcut icon.

Resources: Word processor, Paint program
Sample Activity:
The teacher will demonstrate to small groups how to open and close an application by clicking once on a shortcut icon, then tap "Enter". The students will practice in their small groups. Then pairs of students will open up a word processor, type short sentences (e.g. "My name is ______________. I live at _____________."), and then close the word processor.
The students will open a paint program by clicking once on a shortcut icon, then tap "Enter", draw a picture, then close the program.
