Skill T4.2:  Demonstrate appropriate basic care of computers and other technology

Grade Level:  First

Objective:  The students will exhibit appropriate use of the computer (e.g. hands should be clean before using any technological device, put palm of the hand over the entire mouse, gently tap their fingers on the keyboard).

Academic Expectations:  1.16

Sample Activity:

Through a whole class discussion, the class will develop a set of guidelines for appropriate computer use that each student will follow (e.g. students will describe how to appropriately place fingers on keyboard, hold mouse, hands should be clean before using the computer, etc.) to be posted in the classroom.
