Sample Activity:

When given index cards with names of each component of a computer on them, the student will identify the basic components of a computer and peripheral devices by placing the cards on the devices correctly: CPU (case that includes the hard, floppy, and CD Rom drive), monitor, keyboard, mouse, disk drive and printer. The student will tell the teacher what each item does, and how to turn each item on and off for use.

Given cards with pictures of computer components, students will place them in the sequential order of operation (mouse, keyboard, CPU, monitor). The students will verbally explain why they put the cards in the order they did.
