Skill T5.3.1:    Determine what information/products are copyright protected when processing
                                information from the Internet

Grade Level:  Fifth

Objective:  The students will locate the author, his/her e-mail address, and any information about the author as well as information on the page indicating copyright and registration.

Academic Expectations:  1.4, 1.7, 1.16

Resources:  Internet sites that are supportive to the curriculum at hand. Also, Scholastic Network.

Sample Activity:  With assistance from the teacher, the group will access a page and can send an e-mail to the author. They can be shown through the properties button, the e-mail address of the author and other pertinent information. They can also obtain from the page the other pertinent information about the copyright.
