PowerPoint/HyperStudio creation of activity
which will allow students to show mastery of change or coins by selecting the
coins group and finding if this is the correct change group.
Publisher/Paint to create a menu for fast
food, where students are divided into groups of four. They create a menu, on which they create prices for
their items. Let them decided how many different kinds of pizza they can
create for a dollar.

Culminating Performance
This
will be an ongoing activity throughout the unit.
All through the unit we will have a store and a
banking system. The student will earn money, count money, make change and make
decisions about purchases or saving. Performance will be based on the Scoring
Guide.
Students will create a catalog in which they show how
many combinations there are to purchase items within the catalog. Teacher will
determine what the pricing levels are and what coins can be used. Students will
use PowerPoint to create the presentation of the catalog pages. (Teacher will
model how to make change using 50 cents as the model)
