Culminating Performance

Kindergarten through second grade students will view videotapes of the higher level students performing skits demonstrating fairness, sharing, listening and interpersonal skills.  They will analyze the videos to specify skills in the following areas:

  Each class will be divided into four groups.  Each group will be responsible for creating a skit that demonstrates one of the taught skills.  The skits will be performed for the class.  The remaining groups will evaluate the performances to determine which skill is being demonstrated.

§       Third through fifth grade students will work in small groups to create skits (writing, designing props, and performing) that demonstrate the aforementioned skills.  These skits will be videotaped and used with the Primary grades.

§      At the very end of the unit, all students will reflect in writing how they show respect for themselves and others.
