Promises

Everybody in the world makes promises.
Have you ever made a promise?
I have but I didn't keep it.

I didn't know that broken promises could make People suffer.

And the one

Who had to suffer

Was my Grandma.

My promise had for sure

Broken her heart

Why?
Why did I have to
Look in her eyes
And see

The horrified look?

Every time

I close my eyes
To go to sleep
A picture

Of her face

Haunts

My dream.

Sorry..

I apologized to her Asking

For forgiveness

I Know...

I know she said she would

Forgive me

But

Can I forgive myself?
 

I've seen the sparkle

In her eyes

When she is happy

But it seems the sparkle

Has faded.

Why?...
Why didn't I
Go down the

Street and get her snow boots like I had promised?
Why did the rain turn to snow then turn to ice?
Why did it get slippery

Outside on the steps?
Why did she have to fall?

 

I can't blame the weather,
It was my fault.

When you make a promise you are supposed to keep it.
Every body in the world makes promises

But apparently not everyone keeps them.
