Title:  The Midnight Fox
Author:  Betsy Byars

The main characters in the story were a little ten year old boy named Tommy ,his Aunt Millie, Uncle Fred and his friend Hazeline. Tommy didn’t want to go on a farm because he thought it would be stupid. Aunt Millie was a stressed out woman who got mad at the fox for killing a rooster for her baby. Uncle Fred is a hillbilly hunter who wanted to kill the fox. Hazeline was a kind kind and gentle girl. She was the humor of the house. The story took place on a farm was in the year nineteen-eighty-three. A boy, Tommy was trying to save a fox from his Uncles shotgun. Some things that Tommy did to save the fox from it were to take his uncles bullets, and hid his shotgun. The theme of the story is Tommy’s passion for foxes. I think this book was very good considering I don’t like to read. I would recommend this book for other six graders.
