Some of the main characters were Cassie  Margaret Mary, and her cousin Corlinda.

                 The book is about Cassie moving to a new house by the sea and she doesn’t like it because  she doesn’t have her own space.

               She  meets a girl named Margaret Mary and they become good friends.

               A writer  comes and asks her mom can he rent a cabin and he does.  Cassie is amazed at his writing.

               Later in the book a storm comes and her grandfather and the writer are still out there.

               Corlinda comes in with a doll that she had given  the writer for good luck. She finds out that they both die.
