Bruno and Boots, two students at the Macdonald Hall School for Boys, noticed that the food they were consuming was getting worse and they weren’t receiving their usual evening snack.  Then they had to move out of their current room in Dormitory 3 and move into room 201 in Dormitory 2 currently being held by Elmer Drimsdale, the school genius.

Later every boy in the school talked about the problems they were having while eating breakfast.  They came up with the conclusion that the school is going broke.  One boy commented that it was impossible.  But however the Fish’s messenger, Larry, concludes that they are going broke because he overheard a conversation while working in the office.  Now it is up to Bruno, Boots, and Elmer to save Macdonald Hall from disaster.  What will their plan be?  Will they do it?  Can Bruno, Boots, and Elmer save the school?  What will they call their plan?  Maybe “operation …….’

I know that Beware the Fish is an outstanding book that many people would enjoy to read, even if you hate reading.  I like it because the characters would have gotten into so much trouble but they always found a way to get out of it and I like Miss. Scrimmage because she always pulls out her shot gun on the boys.  It also made me laugh the whole time I read it.  If I were a fish, reading this book would be like enjoying a platter of large night crawlers.  It is the best book I have ever read.  If you don’t read this book then some might consider you to be strange.  I would encourage everyone to read it.
