A Kentucky kids writing adventure is underway!! Have your students join the fun! This collaborative project will provide fourth grade students an opportunity to write realistic fiction for an authentic audience, other fourth grade students. Create and follow the adventures of The Goldenrod Gang! The project will feature 5 characters who will encounter various adventures in each of the regions of Kentucky. Participating classes will write a story (minimum 750 words) about an adventure this group encounters at a specific site or sites within the region they live. Students will submit a rough draft to another participating class for review. Final drafts will include digital pictures and/or student created illustrations. All stories will be published on the project website for the reading enjoyment of fourth graders across the Commonwealth. |
