Do you know who John Finley is?  If you don't know about him then read our article on our website.

John Finley was one of the first men to reach the central part of Kentucky.  Before he traveled to Kentucky he lived in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.  He heard that Kentucky had rich soil and he came to survey and explore Kentucky.

He came to Kentucky and settled in Cabin Creek.  He settled in Cabin Creek because there was spring water, fertile soil, and animals.

John Finley was the first pathfinder in Kentucky.  Which means he was one of the first white men in Kentucky.

So now you know about John Finley.  Our website tells about four other guys, so check out our whole website!
