Daniel Boone

by Mary, James, and Steven

This is a picture of Daniel Boone going through the Cumberland Gap to enter Kentucky, and start a new life, and build cabins.

Do you know where Daniel Boone came from?  Do you give up yet!  He came from Pennsylvania!  He traveled down the Ohio River into Kentucky.

Daniel kept getting captured by Indians but he always managed to get away and to continue on his journey.

He fought in a lot of Indian attacks.

He had to rescue a daughter from the Indians.

He liked to hunt and travel a lot.  He was curious about places he had never heard of.  He would still go if he heard it was dangerous.

I hope you learned a lot about Daniel Boone and if you want too learn more about him go to the library.
