Internet Safety

Fayette County Public Schools

Welcome...

...to the Fayette County Public Schools Internet Safety website! The purpose of this site is to provide relevant information about Internet safety topics that would be of interest to parents, teachers and students.

During the 2006-2007 school year, the Fayette County Board of Education approved a change in our district Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) that now requires all schools to address Internet safety concepts through instructional curriculum each school year in grades K-12. Our district is currently utilizing curriculum made available from i-SAFE, a non-profit organization supported by bi-partisan congressional funds and created at the request of the Department of Juvenile Justice.

On this site you can find relevant web resources and news articles related to Internet Safety as well as news from our schools as they implement the i-SAFE curriculum. If you have something to share, please contact us via email.
