Introduction

Welcome to the wonderful world of birds.  Birds play important roles in the lives of people.  They control insects in our gardens, are lovely to watch, and make fun house pets.  Birds are warm-blooded vertebrate animals.  In this activity you will discover many interesting facts about birds.  

Task

Your task is to find answers to the questions on your worksheet.   You will, also, complete a wordsearch and make a bird beak pop-up card.

Process

• You will begin your study about birds with your worksheet.  To find the answers to the questions, click on the underlined hyperlinks.  
• After you find an answer, use the BACK button to go to the next question. 
• After you complete the worksheet, click on the link for the Wordsearch.
• After you complete your wordsearch, you may print it.   
• After you print the wordsearch, click on the link for the Bird Beak Pop-Up Card.

Learning Advice

• Remember that the sites where you will go to answer your questions are underlined.  They are called hyperlinks. 
• Also, remember to use the BACK button in the upper-lefthand part of the screen after you answer a question to go back to the next question. 
• When you get to the Bird Beak Pop-up Card site, scroll down under Zoom Birds (on the lefthand side) to find where to click for the card directions.
• Make sure to write neatly and put your name on all of your work.

• Work must be written neatly.
• There may be no more than three errors.

Conclusion

After completing this webquest, you will have discovered many interesting bird facts.
