One of the most feared inhabitants of the oceans is the shark. The
word, "shark" strikes fear into almost everyone who hears it. But, are
humans right to be afraid? Are all sharks a danger to humans or are some sharks not
so dangerous? This WebQuest will give you some interesting answers.
Task
You are going to work with a partner to research a specific type of shark
assigned to you by your teacher. As you look at the websites to gather your
information, fill in your Shark! Shark! Shark! worksheet.
Create a Power Point slide show to report your information back to your class.
Process
1. Go to each website and review the information on your
assigned shark.
2. Use your worksheet to take notes.
3. Create a Power Point slide show to share your findings about your
shark.

This project is worth 100 points toward your Science grade. Your Power
Point presentation will be worth 60 points. Your complete worksheet will be worth 40
points.
Conclusion
After you have completed this activity you will be ready to share your
presentation with your classmates. You will have a better of understanding of sharks
and ready to do your shark dissection.
