building. As you walk towards the capitol building on the grounds you will see
beautiful flowers blooming everywhere.
Note: A capitol is a building used as a headquarters of
government. A capital is a city that is the seat of
government of a state or nation. This building is a capitol.
Frankfort is a capital.

As you step inside the capitol building you will be in the lobby. This is our first stop, the "Tour Desk". This is where you will pick up your tour. Notice the Seal of Kentucky. Kentucky's state seal features two men shaking hands. The seal illustrates our motto, "United We Stand, Divided We Fall." As you take the tour, look for depictions of our state seal. |
