The outbuildings include the Ice Houses, the Dairy Cellar, the Privy, the Smokehouse, and the Gardener's Cottage.

The domed-shaped Ice Houses were used to store ice for summer use.

The Ice Houses and the Dairy Cellar were all built underground.

Ice stored in the Ice Houses melted and the cold water drained into the Dairy Cellar, which kept the milk and butter fresh in the summer.

The Privy probably was built in 1857 when the original mansion was constructed.

Two doors lead into one side for the gentlemen and another for the ladies.

A laundry may have been located here as well.

The Smokehouse, which is the middle portion of the building, was used to smoke country hams.  The rafters where the hams hung have openings near the top which would draw the smoke out.

The kitchen was, also, located in this building.

Parked in the east wing of the Smokehouse is Henry Clay's carriage.

The carriage is black with pine paneling and deep red upholstery.
