Aaron Uses Word and PowerPoint
From Aaron's mother:
"On Monday, April 22, 2002, Aaron brought his PowerPoint
presentation home from school. He was so excited and proud of it that he wanted
his dad and I to see it. He said, 'Mommy and daddy, come back in my room so you
can see my PowerPoint presentation.' Of course I was as excited as he was about
it. He then put in his disk, pulled up Microsoft PowerPoint and started to show
us what he had done. I was just amazed at how much these little people (he is 7
years old) can learn. He did his presentation on a community helper named John
Washington. He is a police officer and a friend of ours . . . "

" . . . After he had finished showing us his presentation, he . . .
said, 'Mommy, I'm tired of clicking. I want to type.' So I told him
that he could bring up Microsoft Word and type all he wanted. . . . I have
included a copy of the letter [he typed] as well as the presentation."

[Aaron is a student in Mrs. Bell's first grade class at Northern Elementary.]
