Astronomy
- Starry Night
http://www.starrynight.com/
Starry Night is planetarium-emulation software, hence
this recommendation is a little out of place. However, the site has a free
downloadable demo so you can evaluate it. The cost is less than $30 each
at educational pricing. Here's
a worksheet (Word2000 - courtesy of Denise Minor, Bryan Station High)
you can use in conjunction with the software.

The
Citation Machine
http://landmark-project.com/citation_machine/cm_web.php3
Students often have trouble getting the correct and
approved format for citing Web resources in papers. This simple site asks
you to enter each piece of data associated with a website one at a time,
then it automatically generates the correct format for both APA and
MLA-style citations. You can then simply copy and paste either into your
work!

Merriam-Webster On-line
Dictionary
http://www.m-w.com/
Although this site is certainly not new, Webster has
added sound files with word pronunciations - greatly improving the site's
usefulness.
