Presented by SPACE.comAstronomy - Starry Night

http://www.starrynight.com/

Starry Night is planetarium-emulation software, hence this recommendation is a little out of place. However, the site has a free downloadable demo so you can evaluate it. The cost is less than $30 each at educational pricing. Here's a worksheet (Word2000 - courtesy of Denise Minor, Bryan Station High) you can use in conjunction with the software.

English Companion

http://englishcompanion.com/

Although intended as a teacher website for California K-12 teacher and HeinemannU faculty member Jim Burke, this non-commercial site has lots of teaching resources for English instruction, including lesson plans, scoring rubrics, reading ideas, and links to other sites.

The Citation Machine

http://landmark-project.com/citation_machine/cm_web.php3

Students often have trouble getting the correct and approved format for citing Web resources in papers. This simple site asks you to enter each piece of data associated with a website one at a time, then it automatically generates the correct format for both APA and MLA-style citations. You can then simply copy and paste either into your work!

Although this site is certainly not new, Webster has added sound files with word pronunciations - greatly improving the site's usefulness.
