Learning to Keyboard
Ebony Rowe, 4th Grade/Mrs. Schneider
Rosa Parks Elementary
My name is Ebony and I am 10 years old. I have been taking
keyboarding for three years and all of those years I have loved it. When I first
started I was extremely nervous and didn’t think I could do it, but when Mrs.
Barr came and taught
us step by step, I got very interested. I would listen and then go home and do
it on my computer. I was very slow and it took me a while to type. I wanted to
give up some times, but I didn’t. I worked and worked, and now I can type over
40 words per minute. I use typing on the Internet when I am talking to my
friends. I am so glad I learned how to type, because now sometimes I just go on
the computer for fun just to type a short letter to someone or to type a short
story. Typing is so much fun and I love it.
