Ms. Debbie Cassidy's art students at Southern Middle School recently created digital self-portraits. Ms. Cassidy's eighth graders took digital pictures of each other, then imported those pictures into Adobe Photo Deluxe. Their objective was to change and manipulate their photos in order to tell something about their personality.
Following the completion of the self-portraits, the students wrote essays describing the assignment: how they used Adobe Photo Deluxe to change the photograph, how they incorporated the elements and principals of art, what they learned from the assignment, and how they might use this knowledge in the future.
