Microsoft Office Training

Digital Pictures with Photoshop Elements (Tuesday, March 22, 4:30-6:00)  - Using this inexpensive software from Adobe, we'll learn the basics of editing digital pictures, and look at classroom applications and ideas for this technology.  We'll discuss formats, issues of image quality, color balance, and basic image effects.  We'll also look at end use of pictures, including on websites, printing, in documents, and in videos. - with Jeff Jones.

Using Class Web Pages as a Communication Tool (Wednesday, March 23, and Wednesday, April 20, 4:30-6:00)  - Designed for teachers who have little or no experience with the class web page, this hands-on session will take you through the process of designing and creating a classroom web page. A great way to communicate with students and parents, the classroom web page brings the school and home together in a learning environment. - with Maggie Whittington.

Smart Board Advanced (Thursday, March 24, 4:30-6:00) - This class is for people who have experience with Smart Board and want to learn more tricks of the trade. Come and find out how to include video and use sound with Smart Board. You will also learn the upgrades of Smart Board Notebook 8.1.4. - with Suzanne Weaver.

Talking Books (Wednesday, April 13, 4:30-6:00)  - Come and learn how to use PowerPoint as a tool for creating books for your classroom and mini-books for your students on a variety of topics. - with Leanna Prater.

Timeliner (Thursday, April 21, 4:30-6:00)  - Using Timeliner, teachers and students alike can make visual, printable "timelines." Although typical chronological events are perfect, Timeliner is also great for sequencing events in a story, numbers, or even vocabulary words!  Come with a list of dates, concepts or even vocabulary words from your area, and leave with a ready made timeline or slideshow to share with your students. - with Ann Denny.
