TALK
TALK
The TALK website is designed based on Fayette County Schools' Classroom Literacy Guide to give classroom teachers specific practical activities to use in the classroom or in the lab with a whole class, small groups or individual students.

The Classroom Literacy Guide is a rollup of best practices in literacy, consistent for all grade levels, that is put into a form useful for instructional planning, self-evaluation, peer-mentorship and staff development. It is the "how to" for a good literacy-based program.

We have also cross-referenced each lesson based upon Literacy First skills, content area, and software application. You can search for effective, literacy-based lesson by any of these descriptors. Each page will also allow you to search for lessons by keywords. You will find that at the bottom of every page.

  Fractions! Fractions!

Students often have difficulty with the concept of fractions especially when they start adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing them. This series of webpages walks students through these concepts. Discuss with students how you can read explanations and use illustrations to deepen their comprehension of any subject.

This unit on fractions is broken down into several lessons and webpages. Use these to introduce or review the concept of fractions. You can also assign one lesson per student. Have them read and study their lesson and then present it to the class.

Book Title Artemis Fowl
Book Author Colfer, Erin
Book Illustrator

The book I read was Artemis Fowl. I liked this book a lot, in part because of my facination with mythical creatures. It was very original the way that the author described faries as very technologically advanced. The story is set mostly in a large old castle. It has multiple rooms, and has a lot of hi-tech equipment. Another setting is an Armetis Fowl underground city.

Artemis Fowl is a rich 12 year old genius. Holly Short is a catain of the LEP police. Mulch is a dwarfen thief that specializes in breaking into homes.

The theme is that the good guys always win.

The plot is that Artemis kidnapped a fairy and is trying to randsom it. The other faries must go and save their comrade.

All in all, Artemis Fowl is a very good book. If you like reading interesting books, then you should read this one.

Super Croc

I feel nervous about the 40(12 meters) feet long crocodile. they named it the Sarcosuchus imperator because it was so big. I'm nervous because no one knows if there are still crocs that big. If there are cocs that big and still living I wouldn't go near it if I were you. If you accidently fall into to one all I can say is RUN!!!
