Here's a free PD opportunity offered by the Annenberg/CPB Channel. The four offerings below are available to teachers at no cost! 

  • LEARNING MATH: DATA ANALYSIS, STATISTICS, AND PROBABILITY (K-8, Tuesdays Sept. 17 - Nov. 19), - statistics as a problem-solving process.
  • SCIENCE IN FOCUS: ENERGY (K-5, Wednesdays, Sept. 18 - Nov. 6) - understanding energy as it relates to physical science, Earth and space science, and life science.
  • TEACHING GEOGRAPHY (7-12, Thursdays, Sept. 26 - Nov. 14, repeat Sundays, Sept. 29 - Nov. 17)  - geography content and inquiry teaching skills through case studies from around the globe, engaging classroom segments, and expert commentary. 
  • THE ECONOMICS CLASSROOM (9-12, Thursdays, Sept. 26 - Nov. 14.  - concepts covered in high school economics courses, ranging from personal finance to global economic theories.
