Jill Mosow, Microcomputer Specialist

Jill is the newest member of the Fayette County Office of Technology, joining the Student/School Management Systems office last month. Before that, she was emp1oyed by Software Technology, Incorporated (STI), and before that - a college student!

Miss Mosow was born in Flagstaff, Arizona, and was raised in Mobile, Alabama, where she graduated from high school. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Mobile, with a minor in mathematics. During high school and college she was a dental assistant, office assistant for a jewelry store, and office assistant for a dermatologist. Here at Fayette County her main job is to process requests for student and school data, as well as update and manage the databases involved.

When Jill isn't working, she loves to read, do crafts, swim, play the piano, attempt to play golf, visit Chick-fil-A on a regular basis, watch movies, travel. She is living in Lexington, and is a single mother of a cat named Millie..."She's enough for me to take care of right now!" Welcome, Jill, to the Tech Office family!

Jaye Baesler, Microcomputer Specialist

By the time Jaye graduated from Annandale High School in Virginia, she had moved 12 times - the legacy of the Army brat! After leaving Staten Island, her birthplace, she has lived in Germany, Panama, and many locations in the U.S....but most often Springfield, Virginia, where her parents still live. Mrs. Baesler has maintained a close connection to her undergraduate alma mater, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, returning to attend "Hokie"games.

From Virginia Tech, Jaye moved to Lexington, where she worked at Procter and Gamble. An unfinished Masters in Business Administration uncovered an interest in accounting, which she exploited while doing tax work and training for H&R Block and Dillon Tax Services (where she still puts in some hours). Lexington also furnished husband David, daughter Amanda (attending UK), and son Chris (attending Tates Creek High). Avocational interests include camp and crossword puzzles. Travel usually involves family, including a recent trip to Spain with a sister and her family, and the upcoming 18th annual Sandbridge Beach family reunion. She also does PTA work, and volunteers at Pax Christi Church.

Jaye has been with Fayette County tech support since 1999, coming from Northern and Southern Elementaries (where she served as library clerk and co-STC). She supports the district Follett library software, and serves Arlington, Lansdowne, Maxwell, Meadowthorpe, and Squires Elementary schools.

Stephen HolthausStephen Holthaus, Technology Resource Teacher

Mr. Holthaus was born in Syracuse, NY, and passed through Utah, Greece and Pennsylvania before settling in Lexington in 1963. He's a product of the Fayette County public school system, graduating from Lafayette High School in 1971. From there Stephen joined the U.S. Air Force, combining his responsibilities at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base with undergraduate studies, finishing a Bachelors of Science in Biology and German Education at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He now holds a Master's and Rank I from the University of Kentucky.

Stephen began his teaching career in New Jersey, returning to Lexington in 1986. After a stint teaching chemistry and AP biology in Jessamine County, he joined the staff at Henry Clay High School five years ago, moving to the Office of Technology as a Technology Resource Teacher a year later. He also teaches general biology and AP biology through the Kentucky Virtual High School.

Currently Mr. Holthaus counts as his responsibilities the support of instructional technology at Jessie Clark Middle, Leestown Middle, Winburn Middle, and Tates Creek High Schools. After work he enjoys exercising and running, and computer time at home. He lives in Lexingtion, and has three children - Amanda, age 7; Daniel, age 6; and Abigail, age 2.
