Making Predictions

     Making good predictions is the first step to becoming a successful reader.  In this activity, you will read through an online story.  The first time through it, you will only see a few pictures from the book.  There won't be any words.  Think about what you believe will happen in this story based on the title and the pictures that appear.  Record your prediction on your Prediction Guide Sheet.  
     In the second part of the activity, you will read through the story, with the words this time, to see if your prediction was close or not.  At the end of the activity, you will look back at what you have learned and add Reading Tip #1 to your tool belt.
