Mary Todd Elementary STLP students worked hard during their fall break! The students gave up two of their three week fall vacation to attend STLP Fall Camp. They were busy learning how to do many new things and then practicing what they learned by working on projects in their school. Here are some of the highlights!

Students learned how to install memory into their school's computers from Eastside Center for Applied Technology students. After the high school students left, students began installing memory throughout the classrooms and computer lab.
Students designed and created buttons with "God Bless America" and the American flag on them to distribute or sell later.
Mary Todd students and Eastside students took video footage of the training when they were together. Mary Todd students began reviewing and editing the video.
Students practiced hooking up computers to TVs using scan converters.
Students developed directions with digital pictures for how to install memory into a computer and how to hook up a computer to an LCD projector.
Students participated in discussions on what it means to be a student technology leader.
News about the camp made it to the Kentucky Department of Education. KDE sent a reporter and videographer from the "Inside Kentucky Schools" public awareness television program to do a story. This program airs each Saturday at noon on KET. Keep an eye out for Mary Todd's story coming soon!
As you can see, these students were very busy during their vacation. Teachers and students at Mary Todd are lucky to have the opportunity for STLP Fall Camp being held at their school. For more information about this opportunity, contact Al Johnson at Mary Todd.
