2004-2005 Region 5 STLP Conference

FCPS Looking Great @ STLP Regional Showcase!

FCPS looked great at the STLP Regional Showcase held November 11, 2004 at the University of Kentucky. Fourteen schools took students to the conference to participate in many different ways. Some groups were there as observers to learn, while others participated in the competitive categories.  An additional school sent digital art to be submitted for judging. Numerous other Fayette Co. schools sent their STLP Coordinator to attend so they could receive first hand experience with the conference, get ideas to take back to their schools, and make plans for attending next year's conference.

This year's conference offered tours of various locations on UK's campus as well.  Several student groups took advantage of this opportunity.  The UK Engineering and Education Colleges added to the showcase by having interactive booths for the students as well.

Schools participating in the conference were: Athens, Beaumont, Garden Springs, Julius Marks, Leestown, Mary Todd, Millcreek, Morton, P.L. Dunbar, Picadome, HCHS, Jessie Clark, Maxwell, James Lane Allen, and Winburn.
